New investment firm CoVant buys A-T Solutions - Washington Business Journal:

McLean-based CoVant was formed by CI CapitalpPartners LLC, a New York-based private investment firm, along with a group of executive s led by Joseph Kampf, former president and CEO of Fairfax-basedc Falls Church-based General Dynamics Corp. (NYSE: GD) acquireed Anteon in 2006 for $2.2 billion. CI Capitap and CoVant management havecommitted $200 million in equituy in the new investment firm. Kampf will servde as chief executiveof CoVant. Its board of directorsd includesWilliam Perry, a formee secretary of defense, and Hugh a former chairman of the joint chiefws of staff.
Covant's first purchase is of Fredericksburg-basec A-T Solutions, a privately held company thatprovides anti-terrorism training and consulting services. The A-T Solutions management team is retaining a significant equity position inthe company.
