The project, first announcede in 2004, died in 2007 when a ground leases between SIU and WLS expired following extension s forthe project. SIUE filed a declaratoryg judgment action Monday inMadisom County, Ill., seeking to have the court bring legal closurre to its hotel conferenc e center project.
