Here’s how they were derived: The starting salary is the fiftb percentile figure for agiveb district. (Percentiles indicate where a teacher’s paycheck ranks within a district. A salar at the fifth percentile is bigger than 5 and smaller than95 percent, of salaries in a district.) • The median salary is the midpoint, larger than half and smaller than half of all pay levels for teacherd within a district. • The peak salaryh is the 95th percentile, which is larger than the annual pay earnefd by 95 percent of all teachers ina district.
